Perenne Mar (Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México, Dir. Scott Yoo) - February 07, 08, 2026

The Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México will present concerts on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 12:30 PM, at the Sala Silvestre Revueltas.

The program will be conducted by Scott Yoo and will feature violinist Olga Arribas Quintana as soloist.

The program includes Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Henryk Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2, Perenne mar by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, and Claude Debussy’s La mer.

The Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes (OSSLA) will present Herencia de Luz: Symphonic Tribute to International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Teatro Pablo de Villavicencio in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico.

The concerts will be conducted by Armando Pesqueira as guest conductor.

The program includes Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune; Bao Yuankai’s Suite No. 5 Folk Songs of Jiangsu – Drizzle in the South (Flowing Brook, Landscape of Wuxi, Bamboo Flute Melody, Green Willow, Harvesting Red Amaranth); Perenne Mar by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo; Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps; and Gabriela Ortiz’s Antropolis.

Coyolxauhqui, flor de cicuta (Ensamble Solistas de Bellas Artes) – March 06, 2026

Commissioned by the Solistas de Bellas Artes, will be premiered in March 06 2026 as part of the program “Mexican Women Composers.”

The performance will take place at the Anfiteatro Simón Bolivar, CDMX. The exact date and full program details will be announced at a later time.

Citlalhumi (OSUAT, Dir. Inés Rodríguez) - March 06, 2026

The work Citlalhumi by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo will be performed by the OSUAT, conducted by Inés Rodríguez as part of its Spring–Summer 2026 Season.

The concert will take place on Friday, March 06, 2026, at the Aula Magna UAT, conducted by artistic conductor Inés Rodríguez.

The work Citlalhumi by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo will be performed by the Camerata de Coahuila as part of its Spring–Summer 2026 Season.

The concert will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Teatro Isauro Martínez, conducted by guest conductor Inés Rodríguez. The program will also include Emilie Mayer’s Fausto Overture and Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished.”

Perenne Mar (Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra, Dir. Alejandro Pinzón) - March 14, 2026

The orchestral work Perenne Mar by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo will be performed as part of the concert “Women in Music” on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 7:30 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Church.

The program will be conducted by Alejandro Pinzón and will feature Kaylyn Shearer as guest oboist. The concert also includes works by Nubia Jaime-Donjuan (Monarch Migration) and Georges Bizet (Carmen, Suite No. 2).

The orchestral work Bolero Mexicano by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo will be performed in a concert by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de Puebla (OSEP), featuring guest conductor María Antonia González Gómez, on Friday, June 19, 2026, in Puebla, Mexico.

Nocturno para piano No.1 and No.2 - December 21, 25

A piano work by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo was featured in the concert Salón Mexicano, performed by pianist Henry Pacheco, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in Tehuacán, Puebla, Mexico.

The program included works by Manuel M. Ponce, Salvador Heras, Estrella Cabildo, and Ricardo Castro, in a recital devoted to Mexican piano repertoire.

Citlalhumi, for string orchestra and piano - October 26, 2025

The work Citlalhumi: estrella del cangrejo azul by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo was presented at the Manuel Enríquez International Forum of New Music, 47th edition, as part of the concert “Young Women Composers.”

The performance took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and was performed by the Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes, conducted by Luis Manuel Sánchez Rivas.

The program featured world premieres by composers Sonia Rodríguez (Etérea: Völetta), Paulina Astorga Monteón (A medio camino…), Melissa Vargas (Toda llegada es transitoria), Estrella Cabildo (Citlalhumi: estrella del cangrejo azul), and Cecilia Pereyra (Desplazados).

Citlalhumi, for string orchestra and piano - October 19, 2025

The work Citlalhumi (Estrella del cangrejo azul) by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo was presented as part of the International Cervantino Festival, within the program Young Women Composers, integrated into the Manuel Enríquez International Forum of New Music, 47th edition.

The concert took place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the Teatro Principal de Guanajuato, and was performed by the Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes, conducted by Luis Manuel Sánchez Rivas.

The program featured five world premieres by Latin American women composers: Sonia Rodríguez (Etérea: Yoltéotl), Paulina Astorga Monteón (A medio camino…), Melissa Vargas (Toda llegada es transitoria), Estrella Cabildo(Citlalhumi), and Cecilia Pereyra (Desplazados), for string orchestra and piano.

Tractus Retentus, for piano trio - October 09, 2025

The chamber music work Tractos Retentus, by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, written for the Trío Siqueiros, was featured in the Opening Concert of the Convergencias Contemporary Music Festival 2025, presented by the Universidad Panamericana, School of Fine Arts.

The concert took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Universidad Panamericana Auditorium (Mexico City). The program included works by Ana Lara, Estrella Cabildo, and Alfred Schnittke.

Bosque de Niebla, for Symphony Orchestra - September 12, 13 - 2025

The orchestral work Bosque de Niebla, by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, was performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México (OSEM) as part of its 153rd Season.

The performances took place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at the Teatro Lupita in Tianguistenco, and on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the Felipe Villanueva Concert Hall in Toluca. The orchestra was conducted by Christian Gohmer as guest conductor and featured clarinetist Fernando Domínguez.

Perenne Mar, for Symphony Orchestra - August 15, 2025

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Aguascalientes will open its Season of Women Conductors with a concert on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 8:30 PM, at the Teatro Aguascalientes.

The program will be led by guest conductor María Antonia González Gómez, and will feature violist Hanoch Michel as soloist. The evening’s repertoire includes Perenne mar by Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, alongside works by Gina Enríquez (Viola Concerto and Marfil) and Nubia Jaime Donjuán (Pequeña suite mexicana).

This concert marks the beginning of a special season highlighting outstanding women conductors and contemporary Mexican repertoire.

Tractus Retentus, for piano trio - July 23, 2025

The Trío Siqueiros will present a special concert titled Legado Latinoamericano on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM, at the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris.

The ensemble—under the artistic direction of Ana Karen Rodríguez, Juanmanuel Flores, and Noé Macías—offers a musical journey through the richness of Latin American and European traditions. The program brings together works by Felix Mendelssohn, Marlos Nobre, and Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, highlighting a dialogue between historical legacy and contemporary musical expression.

This concert reflects the ensemble’s commitment to promoting music that speaks to our cultural identity and resonates with the artistic concerns of our time, projecting Latin American music onto an international stage.

Tractus Retentus, for piano trio - July 19, 2025

The Trío Siqueiros presented the concert Latin American Legacy on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Sala Ponce of the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey.

The program offered an intimate musical journey through Latin American and European repertoire, featuring works by Felix Mendelssohn, Brazilian composer Marlos Nobre, and Mexican composer Estrella Cabildo, including the world premiere of Tractos Retentus.

The performance highlighted the ensemble’s commitment to promoting Latin American musical heritage and contemporary creation.
